First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the anime tiddy-
We spoke out. And they never came again.

Victory?? What the hell? If you don't want to see anime boobs, fine. If you don't want your kids seeing anime boobs, fine. But why do you care if the rest of the world enjoys those games. Who's the victim??

So, games like HuniePop and HunieCam Studio are already censored, how is Steam going to further censor these games? When I got these games, in order to unlock the full nudity, you had to get an outside patch from the developers to use in conjunction with steam. Welcome to new world order, the pussification of America.

Sometimes… groups like this, should take their persecution complexes and their prominence platforms and make their own video game… about non “pornographic” stuff, and hating on the industry. I think this is truly a case of hating the game. Not the players… the thing they don’t realize is the player chooses the game. Lol! Games don’t make us play them. If they did we wouldn’t have a backlog! Lol!

Good topic SmashJT! Really wish we didn’t have to act like this is the PMRC stuff again. Lol. Where’s Dee Snider! Get his opinion! SMF fans of Twisted Sister forever!

I can see this effecting games like Highway Blossoms as well in the future. Its a visual novel with a tad of yuri (girl + girl) scenes thrown in. If you look passed the light lewd scenes however, there is actually a good visual novel here with good writing. But again, any lewdness is a no no for some and I'm sure games like Highway Blossoms will get attacked for this as well at some point, good story or not.

People need to think about this with an open mind. Some of these games are about more then just sex scenes.

I wouldn't have even known about Highway Blossoms if not for a random Twitter follower giving me a free download code for my birthday. I'm glad I can play games with an open mind, otherwise I would have missed out on a good visual novel 👍.

"Use your time to promote equality, dialogue and try to make people understand your views – in a totally informative way – to make em see how you live, are viewed by society and how you want to change it in a positive way to make things better for everyone?

    NO!

Let's just shove our opinion in a forceful way, act in a derrogative way, act victimized, avoid engaging actual dialogue and censor everything we don't like! Doesn't matter the medium, we have to attack everything we don't like! Our way or the highway!"

    SJWs these days.

In the end they just want attention and money and are people lacking actual communication – and if they are men here's a secret, they call themselves sjws to get girlfriends and get laid. Sad.

Normal people want freedom of speech.

As most of these "anti-pornography" groups are religious in nature, and in general, religious texts are OK with horrific violence but not so much with human sexuality, it doesn't surprise me that they'd go after games of a sexual nature but have nothing to say about violent games, though I'm sure they wouldn't approve of that either. Some people assure themselves that they have the moral high ground because of their beliefs and the rest of need to be saved from ourselves. Nonsense.

Groups like this don't make much sense to me because their central focus is to remove a perceived threat rather than add something positive. Trying to remove a vice (drugs, pornography, gambling etc.) from society is costly and often ineffective. They should focus on adding something positive (EDUCATION) to society. People learning about the risks or dangers of a certain activity can have a lasting impact on peoples lives and society as a whole.

Cartoon nipples = Bad. Teaching 1st-3rd graders to question their sexuality, you need consent to change your baby's diaper, freedom of speech and expression is okay as long as you agree = Good.

It's a shame. The U.S. has such an issue with lust, sexuality and pornography…but has no problem with extreme violence. Ratings exist for a reason. Can't stand people who butt into everyone's business.

You're allowed to be offended by up to 5 things tops. Anything more that that and you're just seeking attention.

I don't know why Steam would budge on this. These games aren't my style but I think everyone should be able to play what makes them happy.

These games are not for me. I think they are a bit bizarre…but that's my opinion. I still think there is a place for them for a lot of other people. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. It's not hurting anyone it's just a mature game depicting legal age people too.

I guess focusing on violence in games is old hat now. Where were these activists for Custer's Revenge and Bubble Bath Babes?
